Marketing Strategist Ben Roth to Keynote HCEA’s Annual Conference

May 9, 2018

The Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association’s keynote speaker for the opening session of HCEAConnect, the association’s annual educational and networking event, Aug. 12-14, 2018 in Baltimore, will be Ben Roth.

He will kick off HCEAConnect with “A Hu-Machine Revolution – The Next Era of Modern Marketing”.

A Hu-Machine Revolution – The Next Era of Modern Marketing will dive into the discovery of modern marketing, highlighting key factors, common pressures and unique opportunities communities can anticipate facing – inside and beyond the healthcare industry, and relative to marketing, convention, and exhibition spaces.

“We are excited to have Ben Roth as our keynote at HCEA’s annual conference,” said Anne Trompeter, chair of HCEAConnect Education.

He added, “He’s such a dynamic and experienced speaker, and we hope that our attendees enjoy the insights he will be sharing. HCEAConnect is the only healthcare-focused event for convention and exhibit marketers and we are proud to bring Ben Roth to enrich the education at HCEA’s annual conference in August.”

Designer, Creative Director and Marketing Strategist, Roth has led teams, projects and agencies in nearly all capacities throughout his more than 20-year career.

From his internship with IBM back in 1992 through his roles as Chief Creative Officer and Brand Strategist, Roth has been a champion for an intelligence-led, human-first approach to strategic marketing.

He has garnered numerous industry and special awards for brands like Gatorade, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, NBC and The Home Depot.

His ground-breaking work for IBM was published in 2013 by The Columbia University Press, in a book written by the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, called “Solving Problems with Design Thinking.” He’s a self-proclaimed “disciple of experiences and experimentation.”

The HCEAConnect agenda will offer a lineup of education, networking, and other activities.
