Reed Exhibitions Appoints New Leadership for U.S. Business

July 31, 2019

Global trade show and events organizer Reed Exhibitions has made two major leadership changes.

Effective January 1, Fernando Fischer, who is the current president of Reed Exhibitions Brazil, will be moving to the U.S. to take on the role of president of Reed Exhibitions US (RXUS). In his new role, Fischer will report to Herve Sedky, president of Reed Exhibitions Americas.

Fernando has served as CEO of RX Brazil for the past three years, during which time he dramatically improved customer value, financial performance and employee engagement, according to Reed Exhibitions officials. During his tenure, RX Brazil significantly improved its leadership position, winning a host of industry and global awards.

Prior to joining RX Brazil, Fischer served as CEO of companies in Brazil in a wide range of industry segments ranging from consumer electronics, mobile/gaming and healthcare, to security, foodservice and industrial. Fernando is best known for his innovation and his results-oriented focus on customers and employees alike.

Yancy

Additionally, Yancy Weinrich will assume the position of COO at RXUS. She will report to Fischer and assist him in the day-to-day operation of the business, and all B2B portfolio leads will report to her.

Weinrich had previously served as senior vice president, leading the RX Jewelry portfolio including the JCK and LUXURY events, the JIS Shows, JCK Magazine and the JCK Online properties. She also oversees the Sports and Lifestyle Portfolio, which includes the PGA Shows, Racquet and Paddle, and Functional Fabric Fair(s).

In addition, Weinrich recently took on the management of the two Vision Expo trade shows, which are a joint venture with the Vision Council of America. She will assume her new role and broader B2B responsibilities immediately.

“Our commitment to the U.S. strategy and focus on our people and our customers continues, and I am confident that Fernando and Yancy, together with our current senior leadership team, will build on the momentum that we have seen so far in 2019,” Sedky said. “We have great things to look forward to and now have a complete leadership structure to build on our momentum.”

In their regional or global roles, Lance Fensterman, president of Global ReedPOP; Gregg Vautrin, regional CFO; Les Weir, regional M&A; Bill Engle, regional pricing; the RX Mexico BU CEO and the RX Brazil BU CEO will all continue to report to Sedky.
