December 1, 2013

SIBICO International’s ECWATECH and WasteTech trade shows in Russia have a new partner, with U.K.-based Reed Exhibitions signing on to join forces with SIBICO to further develop the two shows.

ECWATECH was launched in 1994 and is the leading water technology forum and exhibition. WasteTech was launched in 1999 and is the leading event for waste management, recycling, renewable energy and environmental technologies.

“Having known SIBICO for more than two years, we have been very impressed by their continuous drive to innovate and keep the events modern and focused on the needs of today and the future,” said Gregory Zaraisky, general director of Reed Exhibitions (Russia).

He added, “Reed has some unique competences and knowledge and our inspiration is that, by joining forces, we can help a faster transformation in the industries which urgently need investment, innovation and new technologies.”

The new joint venture will be under a new company name - JV - Company Ecwatech – and both shows will continue to be based in Moscow.

Besides ECWATECH and WasteTech, SIBICO and Reed also will work on satellite events around the two main shows - ‘CityPipe’, ‘NO DIG Moscow’ and ‘BW Show’.

Sergey Malygin, one of SIBICO’s founders and general director of Company Ecwatech, said, “By joining our experience and knowledge in municipal and environmental industries and the capabilities of the world’s leader in the exhibition industry we will take our events to new levels - meeting and serving the real needs of the industry and its players."

Malygin’s partner, Vladimir Rubin, added, “Collaboration between our company, a regional leader in organizing environmental exhibitions, and Reed Exhibitions promises great prospects for the future. We expect our partnership to become mutually beneficial."
