Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia Chooses SmithBucklin as Management Company

The Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia chose SmithBucklin to provide full-service association management for its Chicago-based organization.

Desai added, "This partnership will allow us to continue to expand our reach, enhance patient safety and provide research and education for practitioners of ambulatory anesthesia."

Founded in 1985, SAMBA's goals are to advance the practice of ambulatory anesthesia in all ambulatory venues, to encourage high ethical and professional standards by fostering and encouraging education and research and to provide professional guidance for the practice of ambulatory anesthesia.

The association's membership includes more than 1,000 physicians, health professionals and residents in training.

Erin Butler, one of SmithBucklin’s 17 executive directors in the Healthcare & Scientific Industry Practice, will serve as SAMBA's executive director.

Butler brings extensive management skills and proven membership-development experience to the organization.

The company's Healthcare & Scientific Industry Practice supports the missions and objectives of 26 full-service healthcare and scientific organizations, serving a broad spectrum of physician, nursing, dental, clinical research, academic and multidisciplinary groups.

RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
