Streampoint Launches Apple Wallet Integration for Event Registration

December 19, 2017

Streampoint Solutions, a provider of event management tools for the conference, tradeshow and special events community, recently launched new functionality in the form of Apple Wallet integration.

The new offering, launched Dec. 13 at the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE)’s annual Expo! Expo! conference and trade show, integrates Apple Wallet with Streampoint’s event registration and housing solutions.

"One of the crucial elements that event planners seek is seamlessness,” said Dharmesh Dayabhai, vice president of sales and marketing at Streampoint Solutions.

He added, “We wanted to showcase a registration integration that’s increasingly being utilized by consumers in the form of Apple Wallet. The integration with Apple Wallet is a shift to help MICE attendees have a more seamless experience.”

Streampoint’s Apple Wallet integration is designed to streamline the onsite event registration process by making check-in easier for attendees. No more sifting through emails for confirmations or tickets – instead, all an attendee needs to do is open their Apple Wallet app to find their barcoded pass for registration staff to scan.

The integration includes the ability to schedule event reminders. A reminder notice will appear on the attendee’s iPhone lock screen prior to the event, keeping it top-of-mind.

“We are constantly looking at improving the attendee experience and if this means one less email or message to search for, that experience only gets better,” Dayabhai said.

Event organizers can also (for an additional fee) have Streampoint customize the Apple Wallet event pass with the event’s branding.

Streampoint is exploring other ways to deliver this functionality to non-Apple users in 2018.
