136,000 Attend Consumer Products Fair in Macau

Recently concluded consumer products event, the Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (GMBPF), attracted more than 136,000 attendees from the 2nd to 5th August this year. The fair is jointly organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province.

GMBPF is a four-day open to public fair and showcased products including foodstuffs, small household appliances, and daily necessities. First held in 2009, the 2012 edition covered 6,000 square meters at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre with 247 exhibition booths. According to the show’s organisers, this year’s fair recorded over US$5 million in sales volume and held 873 business matching sessions between Guangdong and Macau brands.

The next edition of GMBPF is scheduled to run in early August 2013.
