1st World Food Tourism Conference to be Held at TTM 2018

The inaugural edition of the World Food Tourism Conference will be held during the Travel Trade Market (TTM) 2018. It will run from 5th to 6th September.

TTM 2018, a B2B event covering both the inbound and outbound tourism sectors in China, will take place from 5th to 7th September. It will be held at Western China International Expo City. Organised by Europe-Asia Global Link Exhibitions (EAGLE), the show is also supported by the Chengdu Tourism Bureau.

DISCOVERYMICE, an affiliate member of UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization), has collaborated with EAGLE to organise the conference.

The theme will be “Charting a Roadmap for Sustainable Development of Food Tourism Destinations in Asia Pacific.” It is expect to bring over 100 high-level leaders and policy makers, professionals and experts, as well as academics and media reps to share ideas, knowledge, experiences and to network.

Emanuele Guido, chairman of EAGLE, stated, “Considering the strong growth of food tourism, our objective for the coming years is to grow this platform into one of the most important moments of food tourism in China and all (of the) Asia-Pacific region. We hope to be able to develop a sister event in other continents that connects the industry worldwide.”
