AEG Ogden Appoints GM for Interim Glebe Island Venue

Venue management company, AEG Ogden, has announced the appointment of Ms. Malu Barrios as the general manager of Sydney’s interim exhibition facilities at Glebe Island, the Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island. AEG Ogden was recently appointed as operator of the interim facilities by Australia’s New South Wales Government.

Ms. Barrios has most recently been in charge of the Darwin Convention Centre, and has previously held the position of general manager of the Sydney Showground. The Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island will be open for the 2014 exhibition season and will include 20,000 m2 of pavilion-style exhibition space with an additional 5,000 m2 of temporary expansion space.

AEG Ogden is part of the Darling Harbour Live consortium, which is partnering with the NSW Government to deliver the new Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP) at Darling Harbour. AEG Ogden will also operate the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, which is scheduled for completion in December 2016.
