Automechanika Shanghai Records Breaking Visitor Numbers

Positioned as Asia’s largest trade fair serving the automotive parts, accessories and service industries, Automechanika Shanghai 2017, received a record number of visitors. The exhibition attracted nearly 131,000 professional buyers from 142 countries and regions, a 9% increase over the previous edition.

Automechanika Shanghai 2017 was held from 29th November to 2nd December, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. It featured 6,051 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions, which is a 5% increase. The event also featured 19 international pavilions. According to the organiser, Messe Frankfurt, overseas exhibitors increased by 14% compared with the last edition.

The show occupied 15 halls at NECC, covering an exhibition area of 340,000 m2. Among the visitors, 26% were reportedly international visitors. The top 10 source countries/markets for visitors included Taiwan, Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Iran, India, Thailand, Japan, Turkey and Australia.

Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), stated, “Over the years, the consistent increase in quality and exhibitor participation has accounted for the ultimate success of Automechanika Shanghai. Moving forward, we will further enhance the representation of each sector according to the market’s demands, and achieve an even more balanced product representation. I’m certain the show will continue to play a major role in bringing various sectors together, and will grow alongside Asia’s evolving automotive industry.”

The next edition of Automechanika Shanghai will be held from 28th November to 1st December 2018, once again returning to NECC.

Donations include: Unserved perishable prepared foods from events Perishable unprepared food from MGM Resorts’ kitchens Nonperishable food items from minibars and warehouses The collaboration with Southern Nevada’s primary food bank, Three Square, has developed the infrastructure needed to safely collect, transport, and store food from MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas, reducing food waste while serving the community.
