February 10, 2014

Adding to its audiovisual offerings, Dallas-based Freeman recently bought Audio Visual Management Group, an AV provider for association trade shows, business meetings, and special events based in Richardson, Texas.

AVMG will join other Freeman brands such as, Encore Event Technologies, Stage Rigging and Alford Media as part of Freeman Audio Visual.

“As our customers’ needs continue to evolve, we want to maintain our ability to stay ahead of those shifts and meet changes head-on with agility and ease,” said Ken Sanders, president of Freeman AV.

He added, “The acquisition of AVMG further enhances our portfolio, and together, we can ensure that all of our customers have access to the best and most innovative solutions possible.”

AVMG has particular strengths in the medical events space, according to Freeman officials.

“AVMG’s commitment to creativity and high-quality customer service have helped us remain strong for nearly three decades and helped us to create a unique team and portfolio of solutions,” said Jim Holt, President and CEO of AVMG.

He added, “Joining forces is the ideal next step for both of our organizations as we can now combine our talented employees and deep resources to continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to welcome AVMG, its customers and partners into the Freeman family,” Sanders said.

He added, “Together, we will continue to deliver the most trusted and creative solutions for our customers."
