Lance Fensterman has been promoted to president of Global ReedPOP, the rapidly growing pop culture division of Reed Exhibitions that he helped to conceive and launch.

Thanks to Lance’s vision and leadership, ReedPOP has become the leading producer of pop culture events in the world, and is the fastest-growing portfolio within Reed Exhibitions, according to company officials.

"Lance’s passion is unmistakable and contagious, and that passion has driven the explosive growth of ReedPOP from a quirky offshoot of Reed Exhibitions to the global powerhouse brand that it is today" said Hervé Sedky, president of Reed Exhibitions Americas.

He added, "Lance is uniquely qualified to lead the ReedPOP business on a Global level. His industry expertise, creativity and passion for pop culture provide the exceptional leadership and vision his teams, his customers and the ReedPOP fans can directly relate to and be excited about."

The ReedPOP portfolio now includes 38 events across 11 countries and on five continents.

The portfolio includes New York Comic Con, Penny Arcade Expo, EuroGamer Expo, Star Wars Celebration, Comic Con India, Comic Con Seoul, Emerald City Comic Con, MCM Comic Con London, Oz Comic Con and many more. ReedPOP is known for its distinct culture, drive for constant innovation and tireless focus on serving its communities of passionate fans.

Fensterman joined Reed Exhibitions in 2006, bringing years of entrepreneurial experience and a creative vision for connecting brands and fans directly together through shared experience within the live events space.

During the past five years, Lance and his team have tripled revenues on the U.S.-based ReedPOP shows and he also has led the global expansion of ReedPOP into new markets including Paris, Seoul, Vienna, Shanghai, Singapore, India, Australia and the U.K. - most recently leading the acquisitions of U.K.-based MCM Comic Con business and the Gamer Network portfolio of gaming web sites and events.

Fensterman said  ReedPOP will continue to focus on creating world class celebrations of pop culture, delivering once in a lifetime experiences for fans and curating the most compelling pop culture content from all corners of the globe.

"I’m beyond humbled and extremely excited about the opportunity to continue to lead the ReedPOP business from this new perch, and it is a true testament to the strength of the brand we have created and the hard work that the entire team has put in to grow this business over the last ten years,” Fensterman said.

He added, “I am very grateful for the journey and experiences I have had up to this point and I could not possibly be more excited about where we can take ReedPOP in the future."

When not up in the air, Fensterman will continue to split his time between the ReedPOP Global Headquarters in Norwalk, Conn., and Palm Beach County, Fla.

Fensterman will continue to report to Hervé Sedky.
