July 18, 2012

Messe Duesseldorf’s robust medical-themed portfolio is having a busy summer, with several recent news announcements.

MEDICA 2012, International Trade Fair with Congress – World Forum for Medicine, will feature the new program element “AppCircus”.

At the AppCircus, innovative health apps will be presented by their creators with the goal of bringing developers, start-up companies and the organizations involved in the software development together with potential users and project partners from the medical sector and the purchasing side.

The apps to be presented at MEDICA 2012, on tap Nov. 12-14 in Duesseldorf, will be selected through an online competition.

This online competition for the best app in the mHealth arena is now liveon http://appcircus.com/competition/AppCircus-on-Health-with-MEDICA . This is the first cooperation between the world's leading international medical trade fair MEDICA http://www.medica-tradefair.com/ and the virtual mobile developer community appcircus.

Developers from all over the world can pitch their health related app idea and try to get as many votes as possible for their app.

Each month, the best two apps in terms of most votes will be selected and the teams will be invited to be on stage during the “live AppCircus on health” at Medica 2012.

During the course of the next four months, eight start-ups from around the globe will be selected to be on show at MEDICA 2012.

In other Messe Duesseldorf medical show news, two Asia-based events serving the industry are tracking well for their upcoming shows.
