Messe Frankfurt's Texworld Will Have Record Exhibitor Participation

July 17, 2012

When next week’s Texworld USA opens its doors July 24-26 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York, the show will have record exhibitor participation on the showfloor, with 328 companies and associations from 14 countries.

Messe Frankfurt’s show is in its 13th edition and will feature first-time exhibitors from Brazil, Lebanon and Malaysia, while participation from key sourcing regions such as Turkey, Hong Kong and Korea has increased.

Texworld USA also will have a new Turkey National Pavilion offering the latest in luxurious fabrics, according to show officials.

This year’s show will have a reorganized showfloor where attendees will be able to select between suppliers of the following products: accessories, cotton, denim, embroidery, fibers, findings, functional fabrics, knits, lace, linen, polyester, prints, silks, trims, wool and yarn.

In addition, companies producing sustainable fashion have been marked with colored leaves designating the use of eco-friendly material, eco-friendly processes and/or social standards.

Messe Frankfurt also has continued its partnership with Austrian-based fiber manufacturer Lenzing, including several educational opportunities.

“The Lenzing Pavilion has always been a vital part of Texworld USA and continues to grow each year,” said Tricia Carey, U.S. merchandising manager, Lenzing.

She added, “The participating companies display their latest products using TENCEL® and Lenzing Modal® fibers. Lenzing supports their customers in the supply chain to sell and educate the market about the benefits of using our fibers.”

Also returning to this year’s Texworld USA is the triple show collocation.

“July 2012 marks the third time that Texworld USA is collocated with the International Apparel Sourcing Show and the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo,” said John P. Gallagher, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America.

He added, “Attendees profit from the complete range of services for the entire value chain from yarns and fibers to finished products for the apparel and home industries.”

Last year, the three collocated events drew 563 exhibitors and more than 5,000 attendees.
