Editor’s Note: Every year, Trade Show News Network strives to release a comprehensive list of the Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States. This week, NASDAQ-listed Global Sources reported its full-year revenues for the year ended Dec. 31, 2014. Revenues in 2014 were US$198.2 million – similar to the US$197.5 million recorded in 2013. IFRS net income in 2014 was US$18.3 million down from US$32.7 million – representing a 44 percent decline in profits. Revenues from its online platforms dropped nearly 11 percent, falling from US$104.6 million in 2013 down to US$93.3 million last year. The highest-ever attended Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2015 concluded in March with huge increases in both exhibitor and visitor figures as the fair took place for the first time at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Shanghai). The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) plans to hold a road show in Japan later this month. The “Thailand Connect the World: Japan Business Events Road Show 2015” will be held April 21 at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo. Through the campaign, TCEB will promote Thailand’s MICE industry and introduce its new brand communication campaign – Thailand Connect the World – to the Japanese market. UBM India held the 11th edition of its three-day, Gem & Jewellery India International Exhibition (GJIIE). The exhibition was held in Chennai at the Chennai Trade Centre. It ran from 20th to 22nd March and attracted nearly 300 exhibitors including retailers, wholesalers and designers. The event featured categories covering gold, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, silver and a variety of other jewellery products. The Shenzhen International Machinery Manufacturing Industry Exhibition (SIMM) opened this week with more than 1,100 exhibitors from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and 16 other countries and regions. UBM Asia’s Water Philippines Expo was held this week at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. The three-day event ran from the 25th to 27th March and featured the water and wastewater industry’s latest services, technologies and equipment. The event also included a conference, Water Philippines 2015, which featured the theme: “Securing, Shaping and Greening our Water Future Through Innovation”.
