October 19, 2017

SPTechCon: The SharePoint & O365 Technology Conference, coming up Nov. 12-15 in Bethesda, Md., was bought by Exposition Development Company from BZ Media.

“Stephanie (Everett) and I are thrilled to have this opportunity to add the SPTechCon Events to the ExpoDevCo Portfolio,” said David Audrain, CEO of Exposition Development Company (ExpoDevCo).

He added, “Ted and his team have built a wonderful brand and we look forward to continuing to develop the market for this brand.”

Ted Bahr, CEO of BZ Media, said, “SPTechCon has served the Microsoft SharePoint market for more than eight years. I am excited to see what kind of new ideas and growth can be brought to the Conference by David and Stephanie, and happy that Stacy Burris will continue as event director as she joins the ExpoDevCo team.”

SPTechCon helps attendees improve their skills and broaden their knowledge of Microsoft's collaboration and productivity software.

The conference also offers training opportunities for IT professionals, business decision makers, information workers, developers and information architects.

“The acquisition of the SPTechCon series of events by industry veteran David Audrain and Stephanie Everett of Exposition Development Company offers the company a great opportunity to leverage a strong brand and sets the stage for growth and product expansion going forward,” said Nick Curci, who heads Corporate Solutions, the firm that handled the deal for BZ Media.

He added, “There is no doubt that David and Stephanie will take this brand to new heights and be enormously successful given their expertise and experience.”

This is the third and final sale that Corporate Solutions handled for Ted Bahr, who built up BZ Media the past 17 years. The two other sales included Interdrone to Emerald Expositions and SD Times to D2 Emerge.

ExpoDevCo also runs the Atlanta Foodservice Expo, Expo Produccion and the Home Furnishings Manufacturing Solutions Expo, among others.
