15,000 Visitors at Inaugural Ecobuild China

Green building trade show, Ecobuild China, reported the participation of 127 exhibitors and more than 15,000 visitors at its inaugural edition held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

Organised by UBM Sinoexpo, a subsidiary of UBM, Ecobuild China was held from 9th to 12th April this year concurrently with building and construction trade show, Expobuild China 2012. The shows featured a total of 418 exhibitors and 42,600 visitors over 54,000 m2 of exhibition space.

Ecobuild’s portfolio director James Blue said, “Sustainability in the built environment is an issue that has picked up pace over recent years and shows absolutely no sign of slowing its momentum. Ecobuild in the UK has seen phenomenal growth over recent years. We want Ecobuild China to be the annual meeting place for everyone involved in the creation and maintenance of sustainable built environments throughout China and I’m thrilled that the event has been so well received by such a passionate and diverse community.”

The next edition of Ecobuild China will take place from 1st to 3rd April 2013 at the SNIEC.
