February 16, 2016

The National Restaurant Association announced that US Foods will collocate its traveling road show Food Fanatics LIVE March 15 during the 2016 New England Food Show.

“The National Restaurant Association is pleased to share the BCEC with US Foods during NEFS 2016,” said Mary Pat Heftman, executive vice president, Convention at National Restaurant Association.

She added, “Bringing these two events together provides a one-stop shop for New England foodservice professionals looking to explore new products, participate in robust educational and edutainment-type programming and connect with one another.”

NEFS 2016 is on tap March 13-15 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, and the two events will be held in adjacent exhibit halls.

NEFS 2016 badge-holding attendees will be granted access to Food Fanatics LIVE at no additional charge; likewise badged Food Fanatics Live attendees will be permitted to visit the NEFS floor.

“US Foods is excited to kick off the Food Fanatics LIVE 2016 tour in Boston, a city rightfully heralded as one of America’s great food towns,” said Marshall Warkentin, senior vice president marketing, US Foods.

He added, “Hosting Food Fanatics LIVE alongside the New England Food Show, means chefs, restaurateurs and food lovers throughout the area can now go to one place to see, taste and experience great, innovative food, leading business solutions and more to make their operations more successful in 2016.”

As part of the collocation plan, Food Fanatics LIVE will host periodic education sessions and live demonstrations throughout the day on the show floor at NEFS 2016, while a select number of NEFS educational offerings will take place on the Food Fanatics Live stage.
