830 Exhibitors at HKTDC’s Watch & Clock Fair

This week, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) opened its Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) running from 4th to 8th September 2018. The event featured some 830 exhibitors from 25 countries.

Now in its 37th edition, the Watch & Clock Fair is organised by the HKTDC, the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries. Positioned as the world’s largest event of its kind, the fair features products of watches, clocks, smart watches, parts & components, machinery & equipment, packaging, as well as trade services. The organiser reported that first time exhibitors of this year were from Denmark, Poland, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

The HKTDC also organised another event during this period, the third edition of CENTRESTAGE was held from 5th to 8th September, also at the HKCEC. A record number (230+) fashion brands from 22 countries and regions participated in the event making it the largest ever.

A series of about 40 small events were held during CENTRESTAGE, showcasing local and overseas fashion talent. Newly added brands and designer labels this year were from Austria, Canada, Germany, Poland and Switzerland.

Since the program’s launch in 2016, more than 3.7 million meals toward a 2025 goal of 5 million meals have been donated into the community. Donations include: Unserved perishable prepared foods from events Perishable unprepared food from MGM Resorts’ kitchens Nonperishable food items from minibars and warehouses The collaboration with Southern Nevada’s primary food bank, Three Square, has developed the infrastructure needed to safely collect, transport, and store food from MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas, reducing food waste while serving the community.
