Four Tech Companies to Compete in “Event Innovation Battlefield” at SISO Executive Conference 2013

July 27, 2013

Four companies, each representing breakthrough event tech or thought-leading concepts, will present their product to Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) Executive Conference 2013 attendees. Following a critique and vote, one winner will be chosen at the event, which is on tap Aug. 6-8 at the Walter E. Washington (D.C.) Convention Center.

“The competing companies all present viable, actionable solutions to improve event strategies,” said Lew Shomer, executive director of SISO. “We are very excited to see how each will fare on the Battlefield.”

The businesses presenting their products are 1 Track, Eventley, Picatic and RevenuePath.

1Track is a new technology solution that drives engagement at tradeshows. The attendees use the 1Track mobile app to capture products and items of interest at different vendors. 1Track pulls together mobile, social and big-data technologies to make a tradeshow more engaging and valuable for all participants.

Eventley is an engagement platform for business events. Eventley helps event marketing and sales teams get closer to their prospects and customers and drive "Return on Event."  With their single, integrated event platform, Eventley allows event marketers to focus on engaging attendees with matching logic, social and mobile tools.

Picatic is a crowdfunding and traditional ticketing and registration platform. Picatic crowdfunding platform affords event organizers the ability to test new tracks of events; or the ability to create events within an event without risk. Ticket buyers are given an opportunity to make their favorite events happen by pledging funding towards an event. Picatic's FairPay is a solution for event planners to create, promote, sell and manage events at a cost determined by the event planner.

RevenuePath knows that the digital audience is always larger than the in-show audience, and now sponsors, exhibitors or anyone interested can advertise to this total event audience as they surf the web.

The company that wins the Battlefield will have the opportunity to be mentored by SISO leaders and gain access to some of the largest companies in the event industry.

Likewise, the champions will receive recognition through the SISO Web site and the event industry press.

This award will allow start-ups to gain a strong foothold in the marketplace. SISO’s expectation is that their acknowledgement of the winning company as an influential thought leader will substantiate the winner’s credibility, validate their ideas and differentiate them from their competition, according to SISO officials.
