Informa Exhibitions Forms New JV in Chengdu

International exhibition organiser, Informa Exhibitions, announced the company has formed a joint venture company with the organiser of Chengdu China Building & Decoration Exposition (CCBD), Chengdu Tianyi Exhibition Service Co., Ltd.

The new JV named the Informa Tianyi Exhibitions (Chengdu) Company.

CCBD organises a leading building and decoration B2B exhibition in western China. The show, now in its 16th edition, covers the building material sector and provides a platform to the market in western China market.

The 2016 edition featured a gross exhibition area of 70,000 m2, and it will reach 90,000 m2 at the 2017 edition, running from 15th to 17th June at Chengdu New International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Century City).

David Bondi, COO of Informa Global Exhibitions Asia, President of Informa China said, “CCBD is a leading event in the most important regional construction market, where Informa Exhibitions has very strong global resources.”

He added, “We have the best events in this sector at other parts of the world. The west China construction market is a vibrant market full of potentials, with the joint venture, we look forward to building a better and stronger exhibition platform in China.
