International Carwash Association Unveils New Show in Amsterdam

The International Carwash Association, which represents car wash professionals, will launch Car Wash Europe Oct. 5-7 at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, The  Netherlands.

The new event will held every other year and serve car wash operators and suppliers in the European market.

“We’re  incredibly  excited  to  be  launching  Car  Wash  Show  Europe,” said  ICA  CEO  Eric  Wulf.

He added, “While  there are  other  events  with  a  car  wash  subsection  in  Europe,  this  is  the  only  event  that  is  focused  on  the  entire car  wash  business  and the  full  European  market.”

ICA is a nonprofit  organization  with  members  in  more  than  25  countries  and  a  management  board   comprised  solely  of  car  wash  operators  and  suppliers.

As a result, Wulf  said  the association  is “uniquely  positioned  to  launch  this  event  for  the  benefit  of  the  industry."

Partners  supporting  the event  include  BTG,  the  German  car  wash  association, and  PetrolWorld  Magazine,  the  leading  publication  for  the  retail petroleum  industry.

Car  Wash  Show  Europe  will  feature  three  areas  for  car  wash  operators  and  suppliers:  educational  seminars,  a trade show  and  networking  events.

“The  seminars  are  certainly  going  to  be  of  interest  to  car  wash  operators,  with  information  that’s  not  available  elsewhere.  We’re  going  to  be  sharing  information  about  successful  car  wash  operators  in  different  markets,  as  well  as bringing  in  perspectives from  other  industries”,  said  ICA  Board  Chairman Gary  Dennis.

ICA  has  engaged  the  services  of  MCI,  one  of  the  world’s  largest  communication and  convention  management  firms  with  55  offices  in  28 countries,  to  produce  the  event.

MCI is based in The  Netherlands,  near  the  RAI  venue.  “We  are  very  excited  about  our  new  partnership  with  ICA  and  the  prospects  for  bringing  a  focused  car  wash  event  to  the  European  market,”  said  Peter Willem  Burgmans,  managing  director for  MCI.

ICA’s U.S. show is on tap March 31-April 2 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
