International Housewares Association Chooses Ungerboeck as Its Event Management Solution

March 27, 2018

In an effort to further the mission of its members, the International Housewares Association (IHA) has selected Ungerboeck Software as its new event management solution provider.

“We wanted a turnkey system that will provide IHA with streamlined operations to increase productivity and improved reporting with data analytics,” explained Dean P. Kurtis, vice president of finance and information technology of IHA, which produces the International Home + Housewares Show and represents more than 1,700 member companies.

According to Kurtis, after evaluating a myriad of options, IHA’s team identified Ungerboeck as the right platform to meet the association’s overall needs, while replacing a custom in-house solution the IHA had relied on for 18 years.

As the industry’s premier event, the International Home + Housewares Show attracts more than 2,100 exhibitors and 60,000 attendees to McCormick Place in Chicago every year and is ranked No. 16 on the TSNN 2017 Top U.S. Trade Shows list.

“We are excited about our new relationship with IHA,” said Manish Chandak, president and CEO of Ungerboeck, whose event and venue management software is used by more than 50,000 users in more than 50 countries.

He continued, “IHA’s Exhibition Management will now have the ability to operate the International Home + Housewares Show with the only CRM designed specifically for selling exhibits and sponsorships, including sales opportunities and an integrated floor plan. This will unlock additional opportunities for IHA, helping them achieve their long-term mission.”

The new software will be implemented and go live in July for booth reservations for the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show, set for March 2-5 at McCormick Place, according to Ungerboeck officials.

With a signature platform available in six languages, Ungerboeck Software supports its worldwide client base from its global headquarters in St. Louis, with regional presence in Germany, France, Mexico, England, Australia, China and Hong Kong.
