TCEB Launches Road Show in Myanmar

June 25, 2013

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) recently organised its first road show in Myanmar to promote business and networking opportunities for the exhibition industry between the two countries.

The road show was held in Yangon in collaboration with the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and supported by The Royal Thai Embassy, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and Myanmar Tourism Federation. Thailand’s exhibition industry is ranked among the highest of the ASEAN countries as TCEB aims to help Myanmar benefit from the trading and commerce opportunities resulting from Thailand’s exhibition platform.

U Win Aung, president of UMFCCI, was quoted, “As ASEAN is moving towards a full integration in 2015, a lot more opportunities are waiting for us. We fully hope that this road show would be a good beginning of a brighter future for Thailand and Myanmar bilateral trade and exhibition industry. The collaboration with TCEB will help bridge Myanmar businessmen and members of UMFCCI to explore more regional business opportunities as well as to network and get first-handed information with trade show organisers through the business matching sessions.”
