UBM Partners to Organise Korean Security Exhibition

UBM Asia, recently announced it has agreed to cooperate with Jeong Sik Choi, founder of Boannews Company to organise SECON (International Security Exhibition & Conference), a leading security industry tradeshow in South Korea.

Launched in 2012, SECON is positioned as the only specialized and integrated commercial security exhibition in Korea.

At the last edition held in March 2016, a total of 320 exhibitors and more than 44,000 visitors attended the show. The next edition of SECON will be held from 15th to 17th March 217 at KINTEX in Seoul.

In addition to SECON, Choi publishes Security World, which focuses on government-related security issues as well as operating an online commercial security magazine, www.boannews.com.

Choi also organises two annual information security conferences, ISEC and PIS, first launched in 2007 and 2011 respectively.

Jime Essink, president and CEO of UBM Asia, said, “UBM has vast security industry experience with its IFSEC series of shows in the United Kingdom, India and Southeast Asia. UBM will use its international networks, databases, contacts and reach in the security sector to further accelerate SECON’s growth and internationalization.”

Since the program’s launch in 2016, more than 3.7 million meals toward a 2025 goal of 5 million meals have been donated into the community. Donations include: Unserved perishable prepared foods from events Perishable unprepared food from MGM Resorts’ kitchens Nonperishable food items from minibars and warehouses The collaboration with Southern Nevada’s primary food bank, Three Square, has developed the infrastructure needed to safely collect, transport, and store food from MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas, reducing food waste while serving the community.
