World Tea East, Atlanta Foodservice Expo Will Collocate in 2013

December 10, 2012

Restaurants serve all kinds of high-end tea products these days, at least that’s what the thinking might be behind the decision for World Tea East and the Atlanta Foodservice Expo to collocate next year in Atlanta.

World Tea Media’s (a division of F+W Media) World Tea East and Clarion Events North America’s Atlanta Foodservice Expo will be held Oct. 20-22 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

"World Tea East and Atlanta Foodservice Expo are a perfect combination," said George Jage, founder and director of World Tea Media, which also organizes World Tea Expo, Healthy Beverage Expo and the North American Tea Championship.

He added, "The tea industry is thrilled to be moving World Tea East from Philadelphia - where it was successfully held the last two years - to Atlanta. Collocating our regional tea event with Atlanta Foodservice Expo presents significant benefits to attendees and exhibitors of both shows. There's a lot of synergy between the two industries.”

World Tea East also provides tea education, expert-led sessions, focused tea tastings and workshops.

The event analyzes the business of specialty tea, evaluates and makes recommendations on the latest trends, and serves up the tools that professionals need to enhance their business and profit from tea and related products.

Seminar topics answer current business challenges and provide real take-away solutions. In addition to attendee traffic from Atlanta Foodservice Expo, World Tea East organizers said they expect tea professionals, coffeehouse owners, retailers, food and beverage manufacturers, grocers, hoteliers, chefs, restaurateurs, fast casual operators, spa owners, inn keepers and others to attend.

The event is designed as an East Coast destination for professionals who cannot attend World Tea Expo in June in Las Vegas.

"We realize tea is an important part of foodservice, and consumers are increasingly looking to enjoy better teas,” said David Audrain, CEO of Clarion Events North America.

He added, “The foodservice industry wants to learn about high quality tea and, at the same time, understand how to profit from tea. Thus, collocating Atlanta Foodservice Expo with World Tea East is an opportunity for two complementary industries to meet and strengthen their businesses.”

Atlanta Foodservice Expo offers the latest products, services and technologies, along with a comprehensive and leading edge program of education that provides foodservice operators with the best tools to grow and improve their business.

The showfloor covers: food and beverages, kitchen equipment, technology systems and services, foodservice tools and more.

The event targets those involved in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industries, such as restaurant owners, general managers, chefs, kitchen managers, bar mangers, purchasing managers, hotels managers, F&B directors, commercial dinning managers and school foodservice managers.

In addition, the show is supported by the Georgia Restaurant Association, the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association, the Alabama Restaurant Association and the Alabama Hospitality Association.
