KLCC Confirms 30 Major Events in 2018
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) reports that it has already confirmed some 30 major high-profile events in 2018. It is expected to attract close to 440,000 delegates and visitors to the venue next year.
VNU to Cooperate with EASTPO in Shanghai
VNU Exhibitions Asia and the Shanghai Northern EASTPO Exhibition Company signed a cooperation agreement on 17th November. Under the terms of the agreement, EASTPO’s flagship exhibition, the Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition, will be operated and managed by VNU Exhibitions Asia beginning in 2018. Launched in 1999, the exhibition serves the machine tool, robotics and automation industries. The exhibition addresses the sizable Chinese market as well as attracting a large international audience of exhibitors and visitors.
Global Links Exhibitions Buys Australian Baking Expo
Global Links Exhibitions & Conferences, an international exhibition organiser, has acquired the Cake Bake & Sweets Show, in order to enter the Australia market. No financial details of the acquisition were disclosed.
dmg Events Acquires Hotel Interior Design Series
HI Design focuses on the luxury hotel interior design segment organises business matching meetings between key buyers working on active hotel projects and a curated selection of international suppliers. HI Design is held at five star hotels serving three regional markets: Europe, Asia and MEA. HI Design was launched in 2006 in Stockholm. HI Design Asia was launched in 2009, while the MEA edition was launched in 2017.

Last week I had the great pleasure of taking part in the International Association of Exhibitions and Event’s Women’s Leadership Experience, held Nov. 28, the first day of Expo! Expo! in San Antonio Texas.
It wasn’t the first time IAEE has supported women’s leadership with an event, but it was the first time they were holding it during Expo! Expo!
