InfoComm 2020 to Debut the Live Events Experience, Expand Presence In Las Vegas

February 25, 2020

InfoComm 2020, the largest professional audiovisual expo and conference in North America, is gearing up to introduce the Live Events Experience (LEX), a new showfloor feature and interactive tech platform designed to connect and inspire the live events community.

The LEX Stage will feature a wide array of event AV technology at this year’s InfoComm, set for June 13-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees will see stage performances, get behind-the-scenes access to an interactive tech area, and hear technology professionals discussing top-of-mind industry topics, according to InfoComm officials.

“By 2024, live event solutions are expected to reach $33.7 billion in revenue globally,” explained Rochelle Richardson, senior vice president of expositions and events for the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA), producer of InfoComm.

She continued, “With such a thriving market, this year we’re adding more live events programming in addition to the already successful Live Events Pavilion. Event producers for concerts, theater performances and corporate events come to InfoComm to see the latest advancements in lighting control, video projection, audio and so much more. The Live Events Experience will be the stomping ground for them to get inspired.”

The LEX Stage lineup includes dance group iLuminate, a finalist on America’s Got Talent. The performance, set for June 18, will combine wearable LED technologies with choreography performed in darkness. Additional LEX Stage performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

On the same day, InfoComm will also host a half-day Live Events Conference that will focus on the rapidly changing corporate events landscape and how AV professionals can adapt to the growing demands.

With the addition of the new LEX Stage, InfoComm 2020 will be expanding into the LVCC’s South Hall, adding to the show’s previous presence in the Central and North Halls. Not only will the South Hall have an additional registration/badge pickup area and be the first drop-off point for InfoComm shuttle buses, it will also be home to the show’s Live Events Pavilion, a second Audio Pavilion and a New Exhibitor Pavilion.
