UBM Asia, PT Dyandra Media International Tbk Form JV to Produce Shows in Indonesia

UBM Asia is expanding its presence even more in the Asia-Pacific region by forming a joint venture with PT Dyandra Media International Tbk to produce shows in Indonesia.

The partnership will kick off with a jewelry trade fair, which will be a complementary addition to UBM Asia’s global portfolio of fifteen jewelry events in Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan, including the world’s largest jewelry fair – September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.

"The joint venture company will see both parties bringing their strength and expertise,” said Jime Essink, president and CEO of UBM Asia.

He added, “Dyandra, with its established local knowledge and UBM's global reach and sector knowledge, will be the winning formula. We will work closely together on expanding to more sectors."

Jakarta-based PT Dyandra Media International Tbk has organized more than 500 exhibitions in Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bali, Makassar, Medan and other major cities in Indonesia since it was established in 1994.

Dyandra is the leading professional exhibition organizer in Indonesia. Every year, over 1,000 exhibitors, both local and international, participate in its events.

Dyandra also is the first exhibition company in Indonesia that achieves ISO 9000:2008 for its management system quality.

UBM Asia has had a presence in Indonesia through its trade fairs based there, such as CPhI South East Asia, InnoPack South East Asia, P-MEC South East Asia, SATTE Indonesia, Concrete Show South East Asia, Indonesia M&E Expo and Food Ingredients Asia Indonesia.

RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
