VisitPITTSBURGH to Host New Midsize Show Roundtable by Lippman Connects

August 24, 2022

Lippman Connects, producer of information-sharing and networking experiences for the convention and exhibition industry, added to its portfolio the Midsize Show Roundtable (MSR), set to take place Nov. 17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

MSR will be an information-sharing and networking event for executives, directors, show managers, marketing managers, sales managers and department managers making decisions for shows with less than 125,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

The event will include a networking reception and dinner on Nov. 16, and the next morning, MSR attendees will meet for breakfast and a keynote address by an industry expert. The agenda will feature frank discussions facilitated by Sam Lippman, president of Lippman Connects, and will cover management, marketing, sales and show operations. A complimentary room night and all meals are included.

Participants will also receive a copy of the Best Practices Research Report, prepared by Lippman Connects and Evolio Marketing.

According to Andrew Ortale, chief sales officer for VisitPITTSBURGH, the CVB is supporting MSR because helping midsize shows prosper and grow is one of the organization’s missions.

“I attended Lippman Connects events when I was a show organizer, so I know that midsize shows will greatly benefit from having their own roundtable,” Ortale said.

VisitPITTSBURGH is the ideal host sponsor for MSR because Ortale and his team thoroughly understand the needs and concerns of midsize shows, according to Lippman.

“They will bring extensive knowledge to the MSR experience,” Lippman said.

The roster of sponsors also includes Evolio Marketing, EXPOCAD, GES, mdg, a Freeman Company, Naylor Association Solutions and Trade Show News Network (TSNN).

Lippman Connects Roundtables are a series of events set in several U.S. locations that focus on attendee acquisition, exhibit sales, midsize shows and large shows. The portfolio includes Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum, Attendee Acquisition Roundtable, Exhibit Sales Roundtable, Midsize Show Roundtable, Large Show Roundtable and Digital Summit.

All in-person Lippman Connects Roundtables are limited to 30 participants each to maximize peer-to-peer information exchange and are designed to offer key benchmarks, trends, data and other insights, while allowing attendees to network, make valuable career contacts and exchange best practices.
