In what would have been the show’s 20th anniversary, IDG World Expo’s Macworld/iWorld will not take place in 2015, according to company officials. “We are announcing today that Macworld/iWorld is going on hiatus and will not be taking place as planned in 2015,” company officials said in a statement. In 2015, the American Society of Association Executives is expanding its Great Ideas Conference into Asia with the first-ever international event scheduled March 22-24 in Hong Kong. ASAE’s Great Ideas in Association Management Conference, Asia-Pacific will be sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB). Following the successful launch of two other shows at the International Manufacturing Technology Show, Germany-based Deutsche Messe plans to launch three more shows during IMTS’ 2016 show.
