54,000+ Visitors Attend UBM’s September Jewellery Fair

November 28, 2018

UBM Asia concluded the 36th edition of its September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair (September Fair), attracting a total of 54,142 visitors to the two venues in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The fair was unexpectedly closed for one day, 16th September, due to Typhoon Mangkhut.

Covering an exhibition area of 135,000 m2 across the two venues, a record 3,730 suppliers from 54 countries and regions showcased their products.

Suppliers of diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls were at AWE, while HKCEC showcased finished jewellery collections, packaging products, tools, equipment and industry-related technologies.

Celine Lau, Director for Jewellery Fairs at UBM Asia, said, “The recently concluded September Fair has once again demonstrated its unique position as the most professional and international platform for the gemstone and jewellery industry.”

She added, “One can see the entire world of jewellery at the show, from coloured gemstone suppliers and diamond manufacturers to pearl traders and fine jewellers. We have decision-makers, merchandisers representing major and independent retailers, wholesalers, importers and design houses regularly attending this show. What’s more, it’s all happening in the global city of Hong Kong, which is the springboard to the Greater China market.”

The next edition of the September Fair will run from 16th to 20th September 2019 at AWE displaying diamonds, gemstones & pearls.

It will also run from Sept. 18-22, 2019, at HKCEC showcasing fine finished jewellery, packaging, tools & equipment.
