Reed Exhibitions Greater China Promotes Two Senior Executives

Reed Exhibitions Greater China has made two senior appointments to keep pace with the growing size of the business and operational complexities of the local exhibition industry, according to company officials.

Edwin Tan, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, will be promoted to COO, effective March 1.

In his new role, Tan will support Reed China’s President Nat Wong in day-to-day operations, as well as spearheading sustainable growth initiatives for Reed across China.

Thomas Huang, having served with distinction as acting vice president of Reed Exhibitions Shanghai, has been promoted to vice president of Reed Exhibitions Shanghai, effective Feb. 1.

“I’m delighted to announce the well-deserved appointments of Edwin Tan and Thomas Huang,” Wong said.

He added, “It is a significant achievement for us to have two exceptionally qualified and experienced professionals grow within the ranks in Reed China to take up key management roles working with me to define our growth path into the future. Valuing people is one of the most deeply held corporate values at Reed and it bodes well for Reed and our staff that we can continue to facilitate succession from within.

Reed Exhibitions Greater China is a part of Reed Exhibitions, the world’s largest events organizer, with 500 events in 40 countries. Globally, Reed’s portfolio of exhibitions and conferences serves 43 industry sectors across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
