UBM to Launch Meat Event Alongside Livestock Asia

UBM Malaysia, a subsidiary of UBM Asia, in conjunction with the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) and World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Malaysia branch, will launch a new meat industry-focused event, ASIA MEATEC, alongside Livestock Asia and the WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference. The co-located events will run from 21st to 23rd September 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The three-day show will cover the feed, livestock, and meat value chain industries. UBM reported the decision to launch the new event was decided after the successful soft launch of ASIA MEATEC and the 2nd WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference which was held on 12th February 2015 at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

YH Dato Dr. Mohamad Azmie, director general of the Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia, said, “The 8th edition of LIVESTOCK ASIA show will include the ASIA MEATEC 2015 Expo & Forum and WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference to provide an even wider platform for the industry players and scientific community to exchange knowledge as well as expanding their network. Moreover, LIVESTOCK ASIA 2015 will grow even more in scale and significance, fit to be recognised as one of the major livestock industry event in Asia.”
