The 35th Asia Pacific Dental Congress (APDC 2013) will be arriving to the Malaysian shores again for the fourth time in two decades.
Supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the APDC 2013 is on tap this week at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Organised by The Malaysian Dental Association (MDA), a member of The Asia Pacific Dental Federation (APDF), the APDC 2013 gathers speakers to present their current findings on various dental disciplines, as well as to instill the need for education and knowledge sharing.

Mexico is fast becoming a hot spot for trade show companies looking to expand their portfolios into the Latin America market, with Reed Exhibitions acquiring Expo Nacional Ferretera, the largest event in the region serving the hardware, construction and electrical markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The show draws 80,000 buyers from 30 countries and 1,300 exhibitors to a 50,000 net square meter (538,195 net square feet) showfloor at Expo Guadalajara.

Some 30 Navy Chiefs, Coast Guard Directors-General and heads of maritime agencies in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide will be taking part in IMDEX Asia 2013 May 14-16 at the Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC) in Singapore.
IMDEX Asia 2013 also will showcase a lineup of warships from around the world with the participation of 15 warships from nine countries including Australia, France, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the United States and Singapore.

Messe Frankfurt-organised Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics concluded this year to a show-record 1,300 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions – up 2.5% over the previous year.
The three-day event, running from 27th to 29th March 2013, attracted 25,000 visitors to the China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC) in Beijing. Messe Frankfurt reported the top 10 participating countries/regions of visitors were from mainland China, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, the U.S., Turkey, Russia, Taiwan, India and Pakistan.

According to an article in The South China Morning Post, the Hong Kong Government’s Planning Department has earmarked a location adjacent to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre(HKCEC) to build a new six-story convention complex. According to the planning proposal, construction of the building will sit atop a new subway station scheduled for completion by 2020 – when construction of the convention centre can begin.

NASDAQ-listed Global Sources announced an agreement has been made to acquire a proportion of the Shenzhen International Machinery Manufacturing Industry Exhibition (SIMM) and its related trade shows. In its 8th year, InfoComm China 2013 continues to grow, drawing 19,431 attendees, a 20-percent increase compared with the 2012 show, to the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
The three-day annual pro audiovisual show, held in early April, has grown so much since its inception that next year it will fill the entire CNCC, according to show organizers.

Toronto-based private equity firm Onex emerged as the buyer of Nielsen Expositions from Nielsen Holdings N.V. for $950 million in cash consideration.
