Reed Exhibitions (RX) has postponed its Agenda Winter Long Beach trade show and will transform the event into a consumer experience. Originally scheduled for Jan. 3-4 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Ca., Agenda Long Beach has been considered one of the preeminent B2B events in the action sports and streetwear industries for more than 15 years, according to RX officials. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will organise four events for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SEMs) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) next month. Organised by Media 10, Best of British 2018 closed on 21st October at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Nearly 300 brands, covering British fashion, design, travel, education, technology, innovation, food and beverage products were showcased at the four-day show. According to the organiser, 28,385 visitors attended the show, including 5,488 trade buyers and 5,747 VIP guests. Tapping into the rapid growth of e-commerce services in China, a new niche event focused on - e-commerce packaging will be launched next year. The new show, Epack-Tech Asia, will be organised in 2019 and it will focus on food and non-food processing and packaging technologies. Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai will launch Metal + Tech 2018 from 27th to 30th November at Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Eleven European-based international association events delivered almost RM50 million ($11.8 million) in economic impact to Malaysia in 2018. The events attracted 11,960 delegates and were all held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre), Malaysia’s premier award-winning purpose-built AIPC (International Association of Congress Centres) Gold Standard venue. The 13th edition of the show, held Oct. 25-28 in Hong Kong, welcomed a record 14,824 visitors from 106 countries and regions. With 54 percent of visitors coming from outside of Hong Kong, the expo lived up to its billing as an international gathering point for the environmental protection industry. UBM Asia concluded the 36th edition of its September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair (September Fair), attracting a total of 54,142 visitors to the two venues in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The fair was unexpectedly closed for one day, 16th September, due to Typhoon Mangkhut. Covering an exhibition area of 135,000 m2 across the two venues, a record 3,730 suppliers from 54 countries and regions showcased their products.
